Worship Services

Worship Services

A public worship service is held every Sunday beginning at 11.00 am.

The 40-minute  service includes readings from the sacred writings of the major religions of the world, and performance by the a capella Baha'i Temple Choir.

No sermons or lectures may be given inside the House of Worship. Ordinary members of the community - men and women, adults and children - read the texts.

There are no collections during the service. Only Baha'is may donate funds for the upkeep of the House of Worship.

Special services of worship are held from time to time to commemorate Baha'i Holy Days, special United Nations days such as International Women's Day, International Day of Peace and Human Rights Day, and other important events, such as National Reconciliation Week.

Usually an invited speaker presents a talk at a reception in the Information Centre to mark these special days. All are welcome to attend.
